About Hani Saeed

Some physicians choose a path. Dr. Hani Saeed earned two of them — and brought everything from the first to transform what he could offer in the second.

Before he ever treated a foot or ankle, Dr. Saeed completed a full medical degree and trained as a physician. He passed the United States Medical Licensing Examinations — the same rigorous series required of every MD seeking to practice medicine in America — demonstrating a command of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine that most podiatrists simply never acquire. That foundation does not sit quietly in the background of his practice. It shapes every diagnosis he makes, every treatment decision he weighs, and every patient conversation he has.

A Deliberate Choice to Specialize

Dr. Saeed arrived in the United States with a medical degree, a passing score on the USMLEs, and a clear ambition: to pursue a medical residency. But as he studied the American healthcare landscape, he saw something that redirected his path. He recognized that foot and ankle medicine — a field that profoundly affects mobility, independence, and quality of life for millions — was too often practiced without the depth of systemic medical thinking it deserved.

He made a deliberate, forward-looking decision. He enrolled at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco — and then proceeded to do something that speaks to everything you need to know about who he is: he completed a four-year doctoral program in two years. Not by taking shortcuts. By demonstrating mastery. His existing medical education allowed him to accelerate through coursework that his classmates encountered for the first time, while he encountered it as deep review — and he finished with a 4.0 grade point average.

“He completed a four-year doctoral program in two years — not by taking shortcuts, but by demonstrating mastery — and finished with a perfect 4.0.”

Surgical Training at the Highest Level

His academic achievements earned him a surgical residency at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver — one of the most demanding training environments in the region. There, Dr. Saeed refined his surgical skills under the rigorous standards of a major medical center, operating on cases of genuine complexity and developing the technical precision that defines his surgical practice today.

His peers and supervisors recognized not only his clinical ability but his character. He was the kind of physician who asked deeper questions, who connected what he saw in the foot to what he understood about the whole patient — their vascular status, their neurological picture, their metabolic health. That is what a full medical education gives you, and Dr. Saeed has never stopped using it.

Leadership That Shaped a Profession

Following residency, Dr. Saeed's reputation extended beyond the clinic. He was appointed to serve on the Colorado Podiatry Board — the state body responsible for licensing and standards in podiatric medical practice — and served two full terms. He was elected president of the board during the final portion of his second term. This is not a ceremonial distinction. It is evidence of a physician trusted by his peers, by regulators, and by the institutions that govern the practice of podiatric medicine in Colorado to lead with judgment and integrity.

Where Others Stop, We Begin

At Red Rocks Foot and Ankle Center in Littleton, Dr. Saeed practices medicine the way he was trained to think — comprehensively, precisely, and with an unwillingness to accept that a patient has simply run out of options. Many of his patients arrive having already seen other providers. They have tried the standard treatments. They have been told that surgery is next, or that nothing more can be done. Dr. Saeed tends to disagree.

His medical background gives him a diagnostic perspective that reaches beyond the foot and ankle into the systemic conditions — vascular compromise, peripheral neuropathy, metabolic disease — that are often the true drivers of chronic foot problems. He integrates advanced regenerative technologies including EPAT shockwave therapy, EMTT electromagnetic therapy, and Neurogenx nerve regeneration into a treatment philosophy built on one principle: find and address the underlying biological cause, not just the symptom.

He approaches surgery with the same disciplined conservatism. When it can be avoided, he avoids it — with evidence-based alternatives that have transformed outcomes for patients across the full spectrum of foot and ankle conditions. When surgery is genuinely indicated, he performs it with the technical precision of a physician trained in a major surgical center and the clinical judgment of a physician with a full medical education behind him.

The Patient Experience

Patients who travel from across the United States to see Dr. Saeed often describe the same experience: for the first time, someone sat down with them and genuinely explained what was happening in their body — not a simplified version, not a rushed overview, but a real explanation that treated them as intelligent people capable of understanding their own health. That is how Dr. Saeed was trained to communicate, and it is how he practices every day.

He is known for a warmth that is rare in a specialist of his caliber — the kind of physician patients refer to by first name, not because he is casual, but because he makes them feel genuinely seen. And he combines that warmth with a relentless commitment to staying at the frontier of what foot and ankle medicine can offer.

You have questions. We have answers.

If you think you might have a bunion, the first step is to consult a podiatrist or other foot and ankle specialist. They can evaluate your feet, assess the severity of your bunion(s), and provide treatment recommendations. They may suggest non-surgical options first, or they may recommend surgery. In addition to performing that evaluation and recommendation, providers who receive our training are qualified to determine whether you’re a candidate for the Bunionplasty® procedure itself. Learn more about the procedure.

As with any surgical procedure, the cost of minimally invasive bunion surgery can vary widely depending on several factors – your geographic location, the surgeon and their practice, and the outpatient surgical center or hospital facility. Any costs you may incur will depend on your health insurance policy and the specifics of your medical condition(s). To get the most accurate information, always consult with your provider and your insurance company for a more accurate estimate. Learn more.

Only you and your podiatrist or surgeon can determine the best time for you to have bunion repair surgery. Factors like your age, the severity of your bunion or bunions, your level and types of physical activity, other foot and ankle conditions like hammertoes, other health conditions that may impact your surgery and healing, etc. Some people may choose to correct bunions while they’re mild, while others may prefer to wait. Hear from other patients like you.

Recovery from bunion surgery depends on factors like the severity of the bunion(s), the patient’s age and other medical factors, whether other foot and ankle procedures are performed at the same time, how closely the patient is able to adhere to post-op instructions, and other variables. With the Bunionplasty® 360 Bunion Repair™ procedure, a patient might be able to walk the same day as their surgery, with their surgeon’s permission. At around six weeks, many patients return to walking in sneakers for longer periods. By two months, most patients are back to full recreation and their favorite footwear. Learn more.

Many patients travel a significant distance to have bunion surgery, either driving to see their surgeon or flying in from another city or country. Because bunion surgery can have a major impact on quality of life, patients often seek a surgeon who is not only an expert in bunion repair, but someone they feel personally comfortable with, who they trust to guide them in making major medical decisions. Find the bunion doctor for you.
